Maastrichtian, Cretaceous Alaska. Prince Creek formation, a cold and resource-lacking region, with common periods of darkness. Northern Alaska was a part of an ancient subcontinent, denominated Laramidia. The formation probably had seasons when food was not easily available, making survival only for the fittest.
Creatures known from the formation include...
Theropods; Dromaeosaurus albertensis Nanuqsaurus hoglundi Saurornitholestes langstoni Troodon formosus
Ornithischians; Alaskacephale gangloffi Pachyrhinosaurus perotorum
Ornithischians from the Prince Creek formation also include genera with indeterminate species, such as Parksosaurus, Brachyceratops, Anchiceratops, and possibly Edmontosaurus.
